If we’ve gone that far… If we’ve gone that far…

We never thinks about the floor surfaces we are walking on at our homes, work, schools, airports, malls, hospitals and etc. What journey it takes for each marble slab or tiny  chip to end up under our shoe soles. How much energy got generated or waisted to dig deep into beautiful and gigantic marble rocks, invading and disturbing  their peaceful lifestyle with heavy and loud machinery not to mention massive and scary explosions. There is nothing romantic or humane  about harvesting natural stone but if we’ve gone that far and it end up into concrete jungle under our feet, let’s take responsibility and proper respect and ones and for all start taking care of it honorably. Recently visited big city via its airport and of course my natural behavior is to inspect and scan building’s stone and terrazzo floor surfaces. 9 out of 10 airport facilities don’t maintain their floor surfaces properly or at all. Beautiful and mysterious nature’s masterpiece granite slabs are disintegrating. Well planed and disigned terrazzo surfaces are covered with heavy coats of acrylic sealers imprinted  with multiple scuff marks and scratches. Every floor system looks plasticy and fake instead of being real and triggering people’s curiosity of kind of marble is this. If there is fashion police maybe there is a time for stone police too…)
